I have embarked (last week actually) on a pet project of mine and decided on using Adobe’s new AIR platform, with Flex as the coding environment. From a software managment standpoint, I have always been a fan of languages that are not verbose but still flexible enough to get what you need done. Scads of lower-level code to gain what is usually just a teeny bit of runtime performance is not worth all the human error. The world turns too quickly for that.
